Music Alumni Reunion Weekend

The Department of Music and the Office of Alumni Relations warmly invite current and former members of Bluefield University’s musical ensembles, along with their family and friends, to take part in the biennial Music Alumni Reunion Weekend. This special weekend offers a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni, share memories and laughter, make music together, and enjoy being back on the campus of our alma mater.

Participant check-in will take place on Friday, April 10, from 3:00–5:00 p.m., followed by an evening meet-and-greet at 7:30 p.m. in Harman Chapel. On Saturday, April 11, alumni and guests will gather for a celebration dinner providing time to fellowship and reconnect before the concert. The reunion concert will take place Saturday evening at 7:30 p.m. in Harman Chapel.

This year, we are honored to welcome Craig Courtney as guest composer and conductor for the alumni choir. The Saturday concert, centered on the theme “Sighs Into Song,” traces a musical journey from struggle to hope through Courtney’s own works and additional selections that reflect resilience, mercy, and the transforming power of praise.

The alumni concert band will rehearse and perform under the direction of Dr. Andy Necessary, with guest alumni conductors joining to lead selected pieces throughout the program.

We hope you will join us for the 2026 Music Alumni Reunion Weekend and take advantage of this meaningful opportunity to perform once again with your Bluefield University musical family.

Participants are encouraged to register online. Registration, invoicing, and payment at the door may be taken care of by calling 276.326.4458.
