State Regulatory Authorizations & Licensure Disclosures
Program Licensure Directory
Bluefield University offers several degree programs designed to prepare students for professional licensure or certification. We are complying with federal regulations that require colleges and universities to disclose to potential students whether BU programs meet educational requirements for credentialing in their state; do not meet educational requirements for credentialing in their state; or if we have not made a determination about meeting education requirements for credentialing in the student’s state. We have listed all programs with licensure disclosures below.
Licensure requirements vary from state to state. Prospective and current students planning to live and work outside of Virginia should research the requirements of the state where they plan to live and work. You should check the state’s licensing board to ensure you are preparing properly for your chosen career. The U.S. Department of Labor License’s Finder can be used to assist you with researching your state’s requirements for licensure. Bluefield University program directors will assist students living outside of Virginia with information and suggestions on how to apply for licensing in the state where the student lives.
Licensure disclosure information is updated annually. The information below is accurate as of 5/5/2023.
