Today, DaMarcus continues to exemplify leadership and character off the field. He lives in King George, Virginia, where he works as a Building Inspector for Stafford County. He is a devoted husband and father, living out the same dedication and integrity that defined his athletic career.
DaMarcus Wimbush’s story is one of perseverance, excellence, and unwavering commitment, both to his team and to his community. His induction into the Bluefield University Athletics Hall of Fame honors not only his remarkable athletic achievements but also the example he sets as a leader, professional, and man of strong character.

Coach Mike White was the second inductee of 2025.
Mike’s legacy has shaped the game of baseball both on the field and from the dugout. A record-setting player and an extraordinary coach, his career reflects excellence, leadership, and a lifelong dedication to the sport he loves.
A native of Castlewood, Virginia, Mike graduated from UVA-Wise in 1990 with a degree in History and Social Science. As a student-athlete, he was one of the most dominant hitters in program history. He led the Cavaliers to back-to-back championship seasons in 1989 and 1990, posting a batting average over .400. He set an NAIA record for doubles in a single game and graduated as the school’s all-time leader in hits, RBIs, doubles, triples, home runs, and runs scored. His remarkable achievements earned him multiple All-District and All-Area honors, along with two NAIA All-American Honorable Mentions.
After his playing days, Mike continued to influence the sport through coaching. He began as an assistant and recruiting coordinator at UVA-Wise before taking the helm at Bluefield University in 2006. Under his leadership, Bluefield Baseball has risen to national prominence, surpassing 500 career victories in 2024, capturing the 2009 NCCAA World Series Championship, earning a runner-up finish in 2010, and consistently ranking among the top programs in the NCCAA and NAIA.
His coaching accolades include NCCAA National Coach of the Year, nine Regional Coach of the Year awards, and the Mid-South Conference Coach of Character, yet his most meaningful contribution is the countless young men he has mentored, many of whom have gone on to play baseball at the professional level.
Off the field, Mike is a devoted family man. He is married to his wife Michele, and together they are the proud parents of Dalton and Connor, parents-in-law to Liz, and grandparents to their grandson Hudson. Their home is joyfully completed by the presence of three beloved dogs.
Bluefield University is honored to recognize Coach Mike White for his outstanding achievements, exemplary leadership, and profound impact on generations of student-athletes.

Tim Mann ‘88 was the third inductee of 2025.
Tim played a pivotal role in sustaining and shaping the history of Bluefield Baseball.
During a challenging chapter for the program, Tim became a cornerstone of perseverance and commitment. When baseball was dropped from the university, Tim refused to let the program fade away. He took initiative, reaching out to Coach Richard Blevins to help identify a coach and keep the team alive. His leadership and unwavering dedication ensured that Bluefield Baseball continued, laying a foundation for generations of athletes who followed.
On the field, Tim’s talent spoke for itself. During the 1986 season, he led the team with a .400 batting average and 16 RBIs, wearing the number 17 with pride. Though the season ended with a 4–15 record, Tim’s performance, resilience, and positive spirit stood out as bright points in a rebuilding year.
Beyond athletics, Tim exemplifies what it means to be a servant leader. Known for his humility, kindness, and unwavering faith, he has always been a “walk the walk” kind of man, living his values in every season of life.
Tim is employed as a QC Lab Technician at Evonik Stockhausen. He and his wife, Kim Mann, reside in Greensboro, North Carolina, where they attend Friendly Avenue Baptist Church. They are the proud parents of their son, Scott, and Tim is celebrated by those who know him best as a devoted husband, father, and child of God.
Bluefield University is honored to recognize Tim Mann, a leader, teammate, and man of character, whose impact on Bluefield Baseball and on all who played alongside him will be remembered for years to come.
The Bluefield University Athletics Hall of Fame was established to pay tribute and give recognition to former athletes, coaches, trainers, athletic administrators, and others of meritorious service who have made exceptional contributions to the athletic programs of the university. Nominations are accepted through the Alumni Award Nomination Form on the university’s website, and inductees are selected by a committee of alumni relations and athletic staff.
