Personal On-Campus Visit

Are you looking to learn more about Bluefield College before taking the leap? An on-campus personal visit allows you to meet with the faculty of your intended major, speak with the athletic staff of the team you’re interested in, sit down with your personal admissions counselor, and see the beauty of our campus firsthand.

Tours are available Monday through Friday at the following times:

Personal Virtual Visit

The energy of our service-minded students and the warmth of our Bluefield community are waiting for you to experience from the comfort of your couch when you join us for a virtual visit. A current student will take you on a walking tour of our 82-acre campus using state-of-the-art technology. Then, you’ll meet one-on-one with your personal admissions counselor to answer your questions. Want to meet our faculty and or a coach? We can do that too. A virtual visit is the next best thing to being here.

Group Visits

We offer Bluefield campus visits that can be customized for your group or college club. Each group visit includes a student-led tour and lunch in our dining hall to give everyone a real feel for life on campus. You can request an information session or faculty presentation about our degree programs too.

Group and college club visits are available Monday-Friday and on Saturday Visit Days. In order to schedule a group visit, please call 276.326.4231. Please be prepared to share the list of names, mailing addresses, high schools, and expected graduation dates for each member of your group. We’ll see you on campus!

Open House

Open House events are open to everyone who’s interested in learning more about Bluefield College. Whether you’re just starting your college search, ready to make a decision, or interested in Early College, we invite you to visit with faculty and staff to learn more about enrollment, residence life, student services, academic programs, and all things Bluefield!

Spotlight Events

If your heart is set on a major but you’d like to learn more about the program, then our Spotlight Events are for you. Whether you are planning your first year of college or bringing in transfer credit you’ll be able to meet the faculty of your program of interest, sit down with your personal admissions counselor, and see what makes Bluefield different. Let us treat you like a V.I.P. and help you plan your future at Bluefield.

Experience Days

Those interested in getting a firsthand look into what life as a Bluefield College student is like, are invited to join us for Experience Days. Visitors will be able to experience chapel, attend class, eat in our dining hall, enjoy residence life activities, visit with the student services department, and more. In conjuncture with Christian Emphasis Week, students can choose to stay overnight for the full schedule of events Wednesday- Friday or visit the Wednesday-only event.

Winter Blast

Is your youth group looking for a winter youth retreat? If so, please join us for Winter Blast 2022 on Martin Luther King Jr. weekend! Guests will enjoy the snow-covered hills of Winter Place Ski Resort in Ghent, West Virginia, then retreat to campus for dinner, worship, and a chapel speaker. Presidential Scholar Competition

At Bluefield College, we’re honored to congratulate and award those students who have poured themselves into their studies. Each year, the college gives away two full-tuition scholarships to students who meet qualifications. Students who qualify will receive a cordial invitation from the Office of Enrollment.

Early College students,

Congratulations! You have elected to enroll in an online, college-level course. Each course is different in its requirements involving theory, application, depth of reflection, and research. Occasionally, the title of a course has been chosen to broadly describe the course content. As an Early College student, you may need to communicate with the instructor to discuss your ability to meet the course’s requirements within the first two days of the course, within the drop/add period. This allows you time to select another option if you believe the course requirements are beyond your current level of learning.

Your grades will be final and appear on your Bluefield College transcript, so it is important that you do your best.

If you have a learning disability, it is important that you communicate that with our Associate Director of Academic Support, Mr. Wayne Pelts, prior to your classes starting. Mr. Pelts will need documentation in order to offer any accommodations. You may reach Mr. Pelts at
