Position Summary
The Assistant to Campus Ministry serves as a key support role in advancing the vision, organization, and day-to-day effectiveness of campus ministry. This individual helps cultivate a Christ-centered environment by strengthening administrative systems, supporting ministry operations, and ensuring organizational clarity across all initiatives. This role is both pastoral and practical—requiring attention to detail, relational awareness, and a heart for student engagement and spiritual formation.
Key Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Maintain and manage systems for tracking student engagement, attendance, and follow-ups.
- Oversee communication workflows (emails, text outreach, event reminders).
- Assist in scheduling meetings, events, and ministry gatherings. Ensure timely follow-up with students and leaders.
- Organize and maintain ministry databases and records.
Student Connection & Engagement
- Facilitate meaningful connection points for students.
- Track assimilation pathways such as small groups and discipleship. Partner with leadership to ensure no student is overlooked.
- Support relational touchpoints that foster belonging and spiritual growth.
Operational Oversight
- Assist in executing weekly gatherings and events.
- Coordinate logistics such as setup, volunteers, and communication.
- Ensure ministry environments are prepared and aligned with vision.
- Identify and solve operational gaps.
Organizational Leadership
- Bring structure and clarity to ministry systems.
- Assist in planning ministry calendars and events.
- Steward project timelines and ensure follow-through.
- Support team alignment through clear communication.
Qualifications & Characteristics
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, relationally driven, ability to multitask, clear communicator, self-motivated, adaptable, and aligned with ministry vision.
Preferred Experience
Experience in ministry or campus engagement, event coordination, and familiarity with organizational tools.
Spiritual Expectations
Demonstrates a growing relationship with Jesus, lives with integrity and humility, and contributes to the spiritual culture of the ministry.
Overall Impact
This role exists to bring order, intentionality, and connection to campus ministry—helping create an environment where students are seen, known, and invited deeper into the presence of God and community.
