In light of the high risk of COVID-19 spikes associated with travel outside of our 50-mile radius, the Bluefield University COVID-19 Task Force and the Executive Leadership Team reached the decision to cancel Spring Break (with the exception of Good Friday as an official University observance). This has been evidenced by colleges and universities who have scheduled a Spring Break. Tazewell County remains in a Red Alert stage regarding the Coronavirus. All of these factors have led to this decision.
The cancellation of Spring Break will result in the adjustment of the 2021 On-Campus semester to end on Wednesday, April 28th, which will be the last day of Final Exams. The final day of classes will be Wednesday, April 21. The annual Honors Convocation Ceremony (April 21) will take place on that day. Our Commencement Ceremony will be changed to Saturday, May 1st, (previously scheduled for May 8th) at 10:00 am in the Quad at Bluefield University.
NOTE: Spring Term 2 will end as scheduled on Tuesday, May 4th
