Bluefield University students traveled to Grundy, Virginia, on Friday, September 11, to tour the Appalachian School of Law.
Thanks to the coordinating efforts of Dr. Kimberly Farmer, who serves as Dean of the Bluefield University School of Criminal Justice, eight BU students were able to visit the ASL campus and learn more about legal education.
The group of Bluefield students, which included freshmen, sophomores, and juniors, had the chance to sit in on a first-year law school class. Additionally, they met with ASL’s Dean of Students, Will Thompson, and heard from BU alumnus Travis Honaker about his transition to law school.
The Appalachian School of Law is a long-standing partner of Bluefield University. Together, we offer a 3+3 accelerated pathway that allows a student to earn a bachelor’s degree and a Juris Doctor in as little as six years.
