Bluefield University has named Bryan Worrall Vice President for Advancement, a position responsible for leading the university’s fundraising and alumni engagement efforts.

Worrall brings more than 15 years of experience in donor relationship management, strategic planning, and team leadership across higher education and nonprofit organizations.

Before joining Bluefield, he served as director with Cru (formerly Campus Crusade for Christ), an interdenominational Christian ministry at Virginia Tech. Worrall developed donor engagement strategies, including a #GivingTuesday campaign that doubled annual recurring revenue and expanded alumni participation.

“Bryan leads with faith, purpose, and a genuine commitment to Christ-centered education,” said Dr. Steve Peterson, president of Bluefield University. “His heart for people and his record of cultivating growth make him an ideal fit for Bluefield.”

Worrall is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in English, cum laude. He also holds certificates from the Cru Institute of Biblical Studies and Google’s Project Management program.

“I am deeply honored to join the Bluefield University family,” Worrall said. “I look forward to partnering with alumni, friends, and supporters to help advance this University’s mission and create new opportunities for students to thrive.”

As vice president for advancement, Worrall will oversee fundraising and alumni engagement efforts in support of the university’s mission and long-term development goals.
