ART WORK BY BLUEFIELD COLLEGE STUDENT ALICIA BOYD, ONE OF SEVERAL BC STUDENTS PARTICIPATING IN A FALL STUDENT ART SHOW ON CAMPUS, NOW THROUGH DECEMBER 3, OPEN AND FREE TO THE COMMUNITY.
Open and free to the public, the Fall Student Art Show is on display in the BC Art Gallery on the first floor of Lansdell Hall, Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day.
This Fall Student Art Show spotlights works of art created over the past year by Bluefield College students. The contributing students are enrolled in “Design Problems” and “Advanced Painting” classes for the fall 2015 semester.
“The opportunity for student artists to take part in public exhibitions is an essential element in their education as artists,” said Christina Bone, BC’s Gallery director. “Unless work can be seen, the process of communication with potential viewers cannot happen.”
Among the students featured in the Fall Student Art Show: Alicia Boyd, Andre Cardamone, Nathalia de LIma, Stephanie Dunning, Matthew Epperson, Heather Horn, Priscilla Ruis, Sara Van Es, David White, Joseph McClain, and Olivia Williams.
