Tired of being a number and not a person in your college classroom? Interested in a school that will help you live your passion? If so, Bluefield College is the place for you.
Bluefield College will open its doors to community college and prospective transfer students and their families during a Transfer Open House, Monday, February 22, beginning with registration at 9 a.m. in Shott Hall.
A four-year, Christ-centered liberal arts college, accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), Bluefield College’s mission is to develop students’ potential through academic excellence and the integration of faith, the liberal arts, career-oriented programs, and service to God and the global community.
The February 22 Transfer Open House will give students and their parents an opportunity to learn more about the BC vision and mission through campus tours, interaction with administrators and professors, financial aid workshops, and other activities.
Following registration and a short welcome, students and their families are invited to “Encounter Bluefield” through a three-hour session featuring a student life presentation, a technology showcase, and an academic overview of the college — all designed to show the prospective college students what it’s like to live on the BC campus, what technology and other academic facilities are available to students, and the paths of each major of study.
Open House guests also will have the opportunity to complete transfer evaluations, financial aid forms, and hear from actual transfer students who now make their home at BC.
Transfer students are asked to please bring a copy of their official transcripts in order to facilitate the admissions process and to complete the transfer evaluation.
