Dr. Anderson joined the Bluefield College family in 1998. His background includes 25 years of academic computing experience. This includes a mixture of faculty and administrative technology tasks. He has also completed work in computer engineering, systems administration, industrial engineering, and systems analysis. Courses Dr. Anderson teaches include: Personal Computers, Visual Basic, Program Design and Development, Database Concepts, Systems Programming, Data Communications, Internet Technologies, Data Structures and Algorithms, and a variety of Special Topics courses in Information Technology. Dr. Anderson strives to keep the Business Division, Bluefield College and his classes current. He also strives to work personally with students interested in the ever changing world of information technology.

Professor Cole joined the Bluefield College family in 1983. He has a background in accounting working in the corporate world and for CPA firms as a senior accountant. He is a licensed CPA since 1976 and owns his own individual firm in Bluefield. He has previously taught at the University of Cincinnati, University of Louisville, University of Kentucky, and Shawnee State University. Professor Cole teaches the accounting courses here at Bluefield College including: Principles of Accounting, Intermediate Accounting, Cost Accounting, Federal Income Tax, Accounting Information Systems, Governmental and Not-For-Profit Accounting, Auditing, Business Finance, and Economics.

Mrs. Shoemaker joined the Bluefield College family in 1994 as an adjunct professor. In 1997 she became full-time in the Adult Degree Completion Program as the Marketing and Corporate Relations Manager in 1997. In 1998 she became a full-time faculty member. Professor Shoemaker has a background in the financial services industry. She has held positions such as: Administrative Assistant in Commercial Lending, Human Resource Officer and Marketing Officer. She teaches classes such as: Freshman Seminar, Introduction to Business, Money and Banking, Organizational Theory & Behavior, Business Writing, Principals of Management, Personal Finance, Human Resource Management, Business Policy, and oversees Business Internships.

Professor Snodgrass joined the Bluefield College family in the fall of 2008. His classes include and are expanding to: Economics, Principles of Marketing, and Quantitative Methods for Management. Before coming to Bluefield College, Professor Snodgrass worked for 25 years in the chemical, plastics, polyester and nylon industry for the same company. Various positions he has held include: Financial Analyst, Accounting Supervisor, Plant Controller, Director of Finance, Director of Strategy and Vice President of Business Development. Professor Snodgrass offers students two pieces of advice and direction for their future in the business world and in life. “Don’t follow your heart, but seek God’s instead and He will give your heart the joy and peace you seek,” states Snodgrass. He also expresses to students that “you can be a person of integrity who loves the Lord and still have success in the business world.”
