Speakers Bureau

One of the guiding principles at Bluefield College is the idea that community service is a way of life. That's one of the
reasons why the college established a Speakers Bureau to help meet the informational, cultural and educational needs
of residents and organizations throughout the Virginias.

This online Speakers Bureau directory lists dozens of BC faculty and staff who can address topics ranging from business
to crime to health to technology. Faculty and staff members listed in this directory have personal interests and/or professional
expertise in the fields they represent, and they are available to speak at meetings or events for civic, professional, religious or educational organizations.

We hope you will consider Bluefield College as a source for a speaker or presenter for your next organizational meeting.

How to Schedule a Speaker
1. Identify a speaking category of interest.
2. Using the directory, select a speaker and a topic that meets your needs.
In addition, select an alternate speaker and topic in case your first choice is not available.
3. E-mail the BC Office of Public Relations at bcnews@bluefield.edu to let us know the following:
            • your choice of speaker(s)
            • your choice of topic(s)
            • your name, e-mail address and phone number
            • the name of the organization you represent
            • the purpose or mission of your organization

           • the date, time and location of the event where you need the speaker
            • how long you would like the presentation to last, and

            • the anticipated attendance.

4. Our office will contact the speaker and schedule the event with him or her.
We will then e-mail or call you to confirm the engagement and provide you with the speaker’s name.
