AAC Announces Awards Recipients
Kingsport, Tenn. -- The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) handed out its annual baseball awards on Monday night.  BC pitcher David Gibson (6-4 record, 47 K's, 4.32 ERA) was chosen as the Freshman of the Year.  Junior Devin Good (.407, 51 runs, 5 HR's, 35 RBI's, 32 stolen bases) and senior Brandon Holloway (7-1, 61 K's, 3.92 ERA) earned All-AAC honors, while sophomore Billy Funk, junior K.J. Sobolewski and sophomore Travis Weaver were selected to the AAC's All-Academic team. AAC link

Good Named AAC Player of the Week
Bluefield, Va. -- Devin Good was named the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) Player of the Week on Monday, as announced by the league. Good -- who leads the AAC with a .564 batting average -- compiled eight hits, nine runs, two home runs, and four RBI's as the Rams posted a 4-1 record during the week. AAC link

Inclement Weather Pushes Milligan Series Back One Day
Milligan College, Tenn. -- Due to soggy conditions on Friday and more of the same predicted for Saturday, the Bluefield College baseball team will begin its series against Milligan with a doubleheader on Sunday, March 15th at 2 p.m. The third game will be played on Monday at 1 p.m., forcing the postponement of the Rams' away game versus Union, which will be made up at a later date.

Union Series Has Dates Reshuffled
Barbourville, Ky. -- Due to impending winter weather over the weekend, Bluefield's AAC opener versus Union has been pushed back to Tuesday, March 3rd when doubleheader action will begin at noon.  The third game of the series won't be played until Monday, March 16th at 1 p.m., which will also be played in Barbourville.
