Pursuit Women's Ministry
Founded on Proverbs 21:21, “Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness will find life and honor.” As our mission statement explains, Pursuit will exist for three reasons:
- To provide opportunities for the women of BC to learn about Jesus.
- To work to build bridges between the female athletes and non-athletes on campus.
- To find, develop, and equip students of BC to become leaders in campus ministry.
Pursuit involvement includes opportunities to attend evening Bible Study (most Mondays) during the school year and throughout the summer. There is also space to participate in a small group, which dives deeper into the subject matter discussed on Monday evenings. Both the Bible Study and small groups are lead by students that make up the Pursuit leadership team.
Active Pursuit participants are welcome to apply for a leadership position on the Pursuit leadership team. This year-long commitment allows for hands-on ministry experience and further ministry leadership development training in the form of conference attendance and weekly leadership meetings with the Pursuit coordinators.
Pursuit also organizes an annual event scheduled around Valentine's Day. A week of special programming highlighting marriage relationships has quickly become one of the more popular weeks on campus.
