Bio
Ms. Lydia Feazell grew up in Houston, Texas, where both of her parents were members of the Houston Symphony. Ms. Feazell earned her BME, cum laude, from the University of Houston, and has been a member of the Houston Professional Musicians Association since 1975. She has studied under Harold Hess, Fredell Lack, and Albert Muenzer, as well as with Margaret Pardee at the Meadowmount School of Music in New York. She has recently retired from 28 highly successful years of teaching award winning orchestras and private strings students in Texas, where she also served as the Region 9 Orchestra Division Chair. In 2009, she moved with her husband to Fayetteville, WV to open a private studio for strings. Presently, she coaches strings for the New River Youth Symphony, is on the faculty of the School of Harmony near Beckley, WV, is developing a strings program for the Learning Center in Fayetteville, and continues to play professional engagements on violin and viola. Ms. Feazell teaches Applied Strings.
