Bio
Tammy Pennington is a nurse with over 14 years of experience in healthcare service, management, and education. She was an Assistant Professor and Coordinator of the Part-Time Evening/Weekend Nursing Program at Virginia Highlands Community College, where she taught first, second, and third-year nursing courses and served on many committees for the college.
In addition, the Part-time Evening/Weekend Nursing Program was recognized and received the Rural Healthcare Award by the Virginia’s State Rural Health Plan Workforce Organization for the innovation and excellence of the program, and for its significant contribution to rural communities.
