Bio
Mrs. Elswick originally joined the Bluefield College family in 1969 and taught from 1969 to 1980. She returned to BC in 1991 and continues to teach in the Math Department as an Assistant Professor. Mrs. Elswick has spent her teaching career at Bluefield College. The years 1980 to 1991 were primarily focused on family life. During that time, she also served as a substitute teacher, created mini-lessons for the children in Dudley Primary School’s gifted program, tutored reading at Graham Intermediate School, taught part-time at National Business College, and volunteered for various school and church groups. Mrs. Elswick uses as her guide for teaching the belief that all students can learn and enjoy math if presented with an understanding of the material and guidance as they proceed.
