Julia Hood

Adjunct Faculty, Business Administration


Julia has worked for over two decades in higher education. She has assisted several colleges and universities with developing online degree programs for graduate and undergraduate students. She specializes in non-traditional, adult education pedagogy and modalities. She has worked as a faculty member and consultant for over a dozen colleges and universities throughout the United States.

Additionally, Julia serves as a steering committee member for the Center for Transformative Work, Academic Director for New York State Correctional Facilities Education Programs for Nyack College, a Review Board Member for the Journal of International and Interdisciplinary Research, reviewer for Sage Publications and is a member of the Greenleaf Center for Servant Leadership.

In 2015, Julia and her husband founded Eleven Evergreen – a leadership consulting and development community focused on making leadership learning accessible to everyone. She serves as the Editor for Everyday Leader, an online magazine published by Eleven Evergreen, offering stories about leadership learning from all walks of life.

Julia’s primary areas of academic research and publication are servant leadership, women in leadership, organizational change, and leadership development and learning.

Julia currently lives just outside of New York City with her husband Joel and her two sons, dog and small flock of organic chickens. She is passionate about servant leadership, organic living, and enjoys traveling with her family.
