Job Summary:

Bluefield College invites applications for an Assistant Professor of English with specialization in (1) World Literature and (2) Rhetoric.

Job Description:

Applicant must have experience teaching Composition and a variety of literature courses. We are looking for an energetic, self-motivated person with expertise in World Literature, Western and Nonwestern, from The Beginnings to the Present. Also, we seek proficiency in Digital Writing-- how new technologies can be used by writers working in a variety of genres.

The individual must be a committed Christian and have ability to integrate faith and learning, ability to foster critical and creative thinking, ability to work cooperatively within the campus community to advance the mission of the college and demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching.

Bluefield College is a private, four-year liberal arts college located in the Virginia highlands.
