Presidential Scholars Day

Bluefield’s top prospective students are invited to campus for Presidential Scholar's Day to compete for two full-tuition scholarships. The criteria for the competition are:

3.75 cumulative high school GPA and

1100 SAT (Math and Critical Reading sections only) or 25 ACT

There are essay and interview components to the competition. Members of the College Leadership Team also join the Presidential Scholars and their families for lunch to celebrate each student’s individual achievements.

Students who qualify for the Presidential Scholarship competition receive a formal invitation and more detailed information in early January.

The Hospitality Room will be open from 9:30 am until 4:00 pm. During periods of downtime, Town of Bluefield tours, campus tours and financial aid appointments will be offered. More details will be available upon arrival to campus.

Spring Tour

Bluefield College is taking its music show on the road. The talented singers in BC’s select student voice ensembles, Variations and Praise Singers, will begin a five day tour across Virginia, March 13-17, featuring performances at six Virginia Baptist churches. Read more for details.

Circular Patchwork Quilting Saturday Class

Every Saturday, from 10/29/2011 to 11/05/2011, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM


This is going to be fun....we are going to turn a square into a circle, back into a square and finally back into a circle!! Bring your sewing machine, rotary cutters, pinking sheers, pencil, threads, and fabric. Ages 12 and up. This Saturday class will meet twice.

Saturdays, Oct. 29 and Nov. 5, 10AM-1PM

Tuition: $75

Mug Me......The Art of Having Fun!

Every Saturday, from 11/05/2011 to 11/12/2011, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM


Come make a coffee mug and enjoy some coffee...what a better way to spend a Saturday!!! This class will meet for 1 hour on 2 Saturdays, one for making the mug and one for glazing. Ages 15 and up. No registration fee is required for this class.

 Saturdays, November 5 and November 12 from 1-2PM.

Tuition: $30 (includes the material fee).
