July New Student Orientation

The purpose of New Student Orientation is to introduce and welcome new students and their families to Bluefield College. The orientation process is offered prior to the upcoming fall semester to prepare new students for success at Bluefield College. All students are required to register for one of the orientation dates. Orientation programs provide students and parents with essential informational sessions and introduce concepts of college culture.

Orientation begins with registration at 9:30am and a welcome session at 10am. The event will conclude around 3:45pm.

Student schedule will include:

Math and English placement tests

Student Development information session

Academic advising and scheduling with faculty advisors

Parent schedule will include:

Student Development information session

Time with BC Central staff to complete financial aid and student accounts paperwork

City of Bluefield tour

Campus highlights tour

Circular Patchwork Quilting Saturday Class

Every Saturday, from 10/29/2011 to 11/05/2011, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

 

This is going to be fun....we are going to turn a square into a circle, back into a square and finally back into a circle!! Bring your sewing machine, rotary cutters, pinking sheers, pencil, threads, and fabric. Ages 12 and up. This Saturday class will meet twice.

Saturdays, Oct. 29 and Nov. 5, 10AM-1PM

Tuition: $75

Mug Me......The Art of Having Fun!

Every Saturday, from 11/05/2011 to 11/12/2011, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

 

Come make a coffee mug and enjoy some coffee...what a better way to spend a Saturday!!! This class will meet for 1 hour on 2 Saturdays, one for making the mug and one for glazing. Ages 15 and up. No registration fee is required for this class.

 Saturdays, November 5 and November 12 from 1-2PM.

Tuition: $30 (includes the material fee).
