Circular Patchwork Quilting Saturday Class

Every Saturday, from 10/29/2011 to 11/05/2011, 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

 

This is going to be fun....we are going to turn a square into a circle, back into a square and finally back into a circle!! Bring your sewing machine, rotary cutters, pinking sheers, pencil, threads, and fabric. Ages 12 and up. This Saturday class will meet twice.

Saturdays, Oct. 29 and Nov. 5, 10AM-1PM

Tuition: $75

Mug Me......The Art of Having Fun!

Every Saturday, from 11/05/2011 to 11/12/2011, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

 

Come make a coffee mug and enjoy some coffee...what a better way to spend a Saturday!!! This class will meet for 1 hour on 2 Saturdays, one for making the mug and one for glazing. Ages 15 and up. No registration fee is required for this class.

 Saturdays, November 5 and November 12 from 1-2PM.

Tuition: $30 (includes the material fee).

Marcolivia Master Class

Bluefield College, in partnership with Blue Mountain Performing Arts, invites you to a master class for string players with violin duo Marcolivia. The master class is free and will be held in Harman Chapel on the Bluefield College campus on Saturday, November 23 at 5:00 PM. Those attending the master class can attend the 7:30 concert for free. All are welcome to observe, but anyone wanting to play as part of the master class needs to contact Dr. Charles Priest at .

Violinists Marc Ramirez and Olivia Hajioff, who together form the violin and violin/viola duo Marcolivia, have concertized extensively throughout the United States, Russia, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Monaco, Italy, England, Canada, Mexico, and Japan. They have performed in many of the world's cultural centers, including New York, Boston, Chicago, Washington, Los Angeles, Moscow, London, Tokyo, and Mexico City. Their performances have been featured on radio and television broadcasts, seen and heard throughout North America, Europe, and Asia. They have performed chamber music at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., the Ravinia Festival in Chicago, the Weill Recital Hall in Carnegie Hall, and with chamber music notables including Leon Fleisher, Awadagin Pratt, and Edgar Meyer.
