Special Bluefield College Weekend Program for Latino/a High School Seniors
The program provides students with practical and easy to understand information on the college application process and financial aid. It will allow participants to engage with successful Latino role models and leaders who will inspire them to actively engage in setting career goals and seeking higher education opportunities.
Who can participate?
Latino/a High School Seniors in Northern Virginia and Galax.
What does it involve?
Speakers, writing workshop, a film, a play, fun scavenger hunts, prizes, and laser bowling!
Can parents participate?
YES! Parents can attend the special Sunday morning (October 27th) assembly and will receive detailed information included in the student’s Weekend Information Packet.
How do I get there?
FREE VAN transportation to and from Bluefield College!
What does it cost?
NADA! Absolutely free.
2.5 GPA or above
Current high school senior (in fall 2013)
Enrolled full-time in a Virginia high school
Application deadline is September 1st. Students are encouraged to apply as soon as possible for early consideration. Only 20 spaces are available.
Three competitive $10,000 scholarships to attend BLUEFIELD COLLEGE will be awarded to accepted candidates who apply.

This is going to be fun....we are going to turn a square into a circle, back into a square and finally back into a circle!! Bring your sewing machine, rotary cutters, pinking sheers, pencil, threads, and fabric. Ages 12 and up. This Saturday class will meet twice.

The Alumni Tailgate Tent is hitting the road. We will be in Buena Vista, VA tailgating before our Rams march on to victory against Southern Virginia University.
We will be under the Bluefield College tent with flags flying high. The Alumni Association will be providing hot dogs & "fixins", chips, lemondade, hot cider, and "Ram Treats". We will also provide the supplies...plates, utensils, and napkins. Please bring a side to share in the tent. You are welcome to bring your own meat to throw on the grill or bring your grill and join the "flock".
Every Saturday, from 11/05/2011 to 11/12/2011, 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Come make a coffee mug and enjoy some coffee...what a better way to spend a Saturday!!! This class will meet for 1 hour on 2 Saturdays, one for making the mug and one for glazing. Ages 15 and up. No registration fee is required for this class.
Saturdays, November 5 and November 12 from 1-2PM.
Tuition: $30 (includes the material fee).
