Learn amazing magic tricks that are fun for kids, but astonishing for adults, too!

This 5-hour course is designed to introduce a beginning magic student (age 8 and up) to the world of magic performance. It is assumed for this course that the student has no specific knowledge of magic tricks, techniques, or terms. The students will learn how to perform several tricks and will be provided the props to perform these tricks. The illusions taught will cover a variety of types of magic, including close up, impromptu, mentalism, parlor and stage magic. We will also cover principles in magic and illusion, stage presence, and showmanship.

Props & Supplies: Most tricks taught will use common everyday objects. Any tricks using magic props of some kind will be supplied. Students will be expected to bring a deck of cards. The cost of the class includes one free child admission to the Magic Show on Saturday evening, November 18, a Magic Rising Wand, and a Magic Trick Book (Wand and Book – $15 value).
