Art Therapy is the use of the creative arts to express and reflect on emotional states and is a therapeutic technique rooted in the idea that creative expression can foster healing and mental well-being.

During this one day workshop you will be introduced to the creative method of Art Therapy by classroom and hands on application. Art Therapy is the use of the creative arts to express and reflect on emotional states and is a therapeutic technique rooted in the idea that creative expression can foster healing and mental well-being. It is an effective means to allow individuals to express things that are difficult to talk about. It can help a person struggling with issues such as anxiety, anger management, stress, OCD, eating disorders, autism, dementia, depression, those that have suffered traumatic experiences and other mental or physical health concerns.

Supplies: Students are asked to bring an 11X14 or 11X17 pad of paper that can be used with markers.

Minimum # of students to hold the class is 12.
