Department of Music Overview
The purpose of the Music Department is to help students develop their God-given potential to the fullest so they can transform their world through the creative use of their talents. The Music Department offers the Bachelor of Arts degree in Music. A broad range of courses and activities, individualized instruction, scholarships and financial aid, performance opportunities, an outstanding and highly qualified faculty, and the Bluefield College Performing Arts Series are all available. The Music major may select a concentration in Church Music, Applied Music (vocal or piano, pedagogy), General Music without Teacher Licensure, or General Music with Teacher Licensure (Vocal/Choral PreK-12 or Instrumental PreK-12).
