Software Installation Policy
The Information Systems and Technology Department (IST Dept.) requests that all faculty who wish to have software installed in a Computer Lab or Smart Room have the software and an approved "Supplemental Software Installation Request Form" submitted to the IST Dept. by May 15th for Fall Semester and November 15th for Spring Semester. This is to allow the IST Dept. the time needed to insure that the software is installed during the scheduled lab maintenance periods. We will do our best to install software we receive after the deadlines; however, it could take up to two to four weeks into the following semester. Submissions made after the deadline would have to be installed around class schedules, as well as have to be checked for software compatibility with other Lab Software. Upon returning for the semester, it is the responsibility of the instructor to test the software by the end of the first week of classes, and report any problems to the IST Dept. Problems reported by the end the first week of classes will be worked with immediately. Any problems reported after the first week of classes will be worked into our task schedule; again this could also take up to two to four weeks.
