The Bluefield College IST Department does not provide technical assistance for student computers.

System Recommendations:

Processor:	Pentium 1.5 GHz or higher	G4 or higher
Memory:	512 MB RAM or higher	512 MB RAM or higher
Operating System:	Windows XP or higher	MAC OS 10 or higher
EtherNet Adapter:	10/100BaseT Adapter from 3com, Kingston, NetGear, etc.	10/100BaseT Ethernet ready
EtherNet Cable:	Category 5 EtherNet Cable (less than 15 feet long)	Category 5 EtherNet Cable (less than 15 feet long)
Software:	Anti-Virus provided by BC with current definitions & MS Office XP or greater	Anti-Virus provided by BC with current definitions & MS Office X or MS Office 2004

Please note that are students are able to download and install a licensed copy of Norton Anti-Virus for their personal computers. Please contact the IST Department for details.
