Biblical Languages Minor Overview
The study of biblical literature is an essential part of discovering one’s vocation while at Bluefield College. The Biblical Languages minor challenges students to encounter the Bible in its original languages, and to appreciate its ancient origins and continued relevance.
The Biblical Languages minor develops the student’s ability to read and translate both the Hebrew of the Old Testament and the Greek of the New Testament through four semesters in each language. The courses will also develop the student’s skill as a careful reader of the text, culminating in the ability to communicate the fruits of reading the Bible in its original language.
