Katie Jones was hired as the head cheerleading coach in November of 2010.

 

Before coming to Bluefield College she assisted the head coaches of the Tazewell High School competitive cheer team for several years. She also coached/instructed at the Gym-Dandy’s Gymnastics Gym for multiple years both before and during college.

 

She attended Virginia Tech for her undergraduate degree in psychology. While there she competed nationally for both the Virginia Techniques Rockers Open All Girl Level 6 All-Stars and for the All Girl Competitive Cheer Team at Virginia Tech. 

 

After completing her degree in 2008 she attended Radford University for her M.S. in Community Mental Health Counseling.

 

The Bluefield College Athletics Department is proud to have Coach Jones on staff to direct and manage the cheerleading team for several years to come as Rams Athletics continues to grow.
