Athletic Overview

Bluefield College is a small, private, Christian liberal arts institution located in the beautiful mountains of southwestern Virginia.

As part of its educational experience, the college fields twelve teams in its intercollegiate athletic program, including six for men (baseball, basketball, cross country, golf, soccer, and tennis) and six for women (basketball, cross country, soccer, softball, tennis, and volleyball). Bluefield College also offers JV baseball and basketball. Bluefield College will soon be competing in football and women's golf which will be added in Fall of 2011. Men's and women's basketball games, as well as volleyball games, are held on campus in the Dome Gymnasium. The soccer teams play at the local East River Soccer Complex, a beautiful soccer facility that is surrounded in mountain beauty. The baseball team plays next door to the campus at the minor league Bowen Field. Softball is played at Bluefield City Park and Graham Recreational Park. Tennis is played on campus.

Bluefield College is a charter member of the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC), which is affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The AAC is a 8-member conference, featuring teams from Bluefield (VA) College, Bryan (TN) College,  Milligan (TN) College, Montreat (NC) College, Rienhardt (GA) College, Tennessee-Wesleyan College, Union (KY) College, and Virginia Intermont College.
