Women’s Soccer release 2011 Fall Schedule By Sports Information Department BC | April 18, 2011 | RSS Bluefield College Athletics Official Release Sports Information Office Bluefield, Virginia Women’s Soccer release 2011 Fall Schedule The Bluefield College Lady Rams Women’s Soccer program officially releases its 2011 fall schedule ahead of the conclusion of the spring semester. Head Coach Samantha Snow isn’t shy about her expectations for her squad, as the Lady Rams will battle nine NCAA Division II and III programs out of its loaded 19-match season. The season will begin with two out of three schools coming from the greater Asheville, North Carolina area in Mars Hill College and Brevard College. Big contests will be in store for the women when they bring back two contests from a year ago in Emory and Henry (defeated E&H for the 1st time in 2010) and Piedmont College from Georgia, a division III program who is typically a top the conference and national polls. The regular season will open with two opponents whom Bluefield College will become quite aware of in the near future, Shawnee State and West Virginia Tech. Both teams are in the Mid-South Conference, which BC will begin competing in 2012. Coach Snow understands the importance of not only giving her squad a challenging season, but also preparing for the future yet having reachable goals in mind. “It will be a good test to see where we stand but I still feel confident we will be successful and make a good run for the NCCAA National Tournament. Our goals for fall are to win the conference and qualify for the National Tournament. I want us to leave the AAC with a bang,” Snow said. In October, towards the end of the regular season, the Lady Rams will have two tough away conference matches versus Tennessee Wesleyan College on October 11 and Bryan College on October 29.
