Voices Invited to Join Masterworks Chorale
Bluefield College’s Masterworks Chorale will begin rehearsals in preparation for its spring concert, and, as always, community residents are invited to be a part of the college/community choir.

Bluefield College’s Masterworks Chorale will begin rehearsals in preparation for its spring 2014 concert, “Gloria,” April 8. Local residents who enjoy singing are invited to join the campus-community choir.
Masterworks rehearsals will take place on Mondays from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Shott Hall, beginning this Monday and continuing through Monday, April 7 in preparation for the group’s spring performance, Tuesday, April 8.
This spring’s Masterworks concert will feature “Gloria” by Antonio Vivaldi. One of the most well known choral works from the Baroque period, “Gloria” is a brilliant, energetic song of praise for choir, soloists, and orchestra. Theprogram will also include choral music from the 19th and 20th centuries.
Under the direction of Dr. Benjamin Thourburn, BC assistant professor of music, Masterworks Chorale combines the talents of Bluefield College students and community singers in performing renowned sacred and secular choral music. Membership in Masterworks is open to anyone from the ninth grade to adult. No audition is required.
