Seniors Zach Sawyers and Jody Martin, from nearby Ararat, signed their letters this week. Zack is the son of Annette and Dallas Sawyers, and Jody is the son of Jeff and Cametta Martin.
Martin, a catcher, was an honorable mention for the Region IV all-region team last year.
Bluefield won the National Christian College Athletic Association Division I World Series in 2009 and almost won back-to-back titles last May. The team was up 5-1 before losing in extra innings 7-6 to North Greenville University of South Carolina.
Patrick County went 15-5-1 last season and was ranked 25th in the state in 2A. The team begins preseason play March 5 at home against Salem.

Jody has been threw alot also, he is a good person and a good player. He has his own story to tell and we here in Patrick County are very proud of these two young men. Bluefield is very lucky to have them not just for Baseball but for there love for the Lord. May God Bless the team and the Bluefield Staff.
