Tournament Time Arrives for Rams Athletics
Three sports will be in post-season tournaments, while two sports will be in-season tournaments

The next seven days will be a true test for Bluefield College Athletics as five sports programs dive into tournament play across the eastern Atlantic traveling to four states to play in their respective tournaments.
Closest to home will be the Women's basketball team who will holding their annual Wendy's Tip-off Classic at the Dome Gymansium this weekend. The Lady Rams have invited nearby West Virginia Tech, conference-member Virginia Intermont and Allen University (SC.) to Bluefield for the tournament.
Bluefield will take on Allen University in its first game on Friday night at 8:00pm followed by West Virginia Tech on Saturday at 4:00pm to close out the Wendy's Classic. There is also games at 6:00pm (Fri.) and 2:00pm (Sat.)
At the same time, three other sports will be in action in three different states. The Men's basketball team will travel to Asbury, Kentucky to play in the Asbury Tournament. The Rams will play first on Friday evening at 6:00pm against Indiana University-East and on Saturday at 8:00pm versus host school, Asbury College.
In Georgia, the women's soccer team will be the first team to enter postseason play out of the three fall sports as they travel to play top-ranked, Reinhardt University (Ga.) on Saturday at 1:00pm. The Lady Rams have already traveled to play RU one time this season in a conference match when they were defeated 5-0 by the Eagles.
Later that evening, the men's soccer team will be traveling to Tennessee to take on top-ranked, Milligan College on Saturday night at 7:00pm. Earlier in the season, Milligan visited Bluefield in a conference match where the Buffaloes stole a 4-2 win from the Rams in a tough battle early in the season.
Next week, the third and final post-season program will begin its journey to capture the AAC Tournament title as they first face, Tennessee Wesleyan on Wednesday (Nov. 9) in Johnson City, Tenn. With a win, the Lady Rams will play again on Wednesday against top-ranked, Union College at the same location. Bluefield swept the season series againt TWC in 2011.
All three post-season conference tournaments will be playing only opening round games this weekend and next, as the semi-finals and finals will occur the following weekend at the last remaing top-seed team becoming the host.
