
Submit Your Works to BC's Bluestone Review
Bluefield College invites its students and the local community to get creative and submit works of literature and art to the 20th edition of The Bluestone Review.

Under the direction of Dr. Rob Merritt, professor of English at Bluefield College, The Bluestone Review is a literary magazine published annually by BC students.
“The Bluestone Review allows an outlet for creativity,” said Lydia Freeman, student co-editor of the magazine. “It’s important for students and the community to have a place where they can be published and be read.”
Submission guidelines are as follows: five works per contributor with a word limit of 750 words for each literary piece. Contributions can include poetry, creative nonfiction, short essays and stories, song lyrics, artwork, and photography. Photographs will be included in black and white.
Contributors will be given the opportunity to record songs and poetry on an audio CD that will accompany the print edition of the magazine.
All works must be submitted by Wednesday, March 14 to be eligible for publication. Contributors should submit their works by email to . For postal mail, send to: Bluefield College, The Bluestone Review, 3000 CollegeDrive, Box #394, Bluefield, Virginia 24605.
Along with submissions, contributors are asked to please include their name, address, contact information, Twitter username (if applicable), and one biographical sentence.
The college will host a debut reading with musical performances of the magazine on Thursday, April 18 at 7 p.m. at which time contributors will have the opportunity to read, perform or display their submissions from the 20th edition of The Bluestone Review.
