Submit Works to 25th Bluestone Review

Bluefield College is encouraging its students and the local community and youth to get creative and submit their works to the 2018 edition of The Bluestone Review.

The Bluestone Review is a literary magazine published annually by Bluefield College students under the direction of Dr. Rob Merritt, professor of English.

“We are hoping that this will be a big year for The Bluestone Review,” said Mikaela Hurst, co-editor of the student publication. “Whether you’re a veteran of the arts or new to the scene, the magazine welcomes everyone to have their work published in it.”

Submission guidelines are as follows: five works per contributor with a maximum word limit of 750 words per piece. Contributions can and are encouraged to include poetry, creative non-fiction, short essays and stories, and song lyrics. Artworks and photography are also requested.

All works must be submitted by Monday, March 12 to be eligible for publication. Contributors should submit their works by email to . For postal mail, send to: Bluefield College, The Bluestone Review, 3000 College Avenue, Box #168, Bluefield, VA 24605.

Along with your submission, please include your name, address, contact information, Twitter username (if applicable), and one biographical sentence. In the event that your work gets published, you will receive two free copies of the magazine.

On April 24, Bluefield College will host a reception honoring all contributors and celebrating the release of the 25th edition of The Bluestone Review at which time contributors will have the opportunity to read or present their works.
