Myrtle Beach, South Carolina- The Lady Rams pulled back a large margin on Tuesday afternoon in South Carolina but couldn't get the win as they drop Game Two of Day Two to Immaculata University at the Snowbird Classic 12-4.
Bluefield opened Day Two of their spring break tournament by facing Miami University-Hamilton in the morning. The Lady Rams dropped the contest in five innings as MU defeated Bluefield 8-0. Megan Meismer picked up the lone-hit for Bluefield in the game.
In Game Two, Bluefield went up against Immaculata University (Pa.) to finish the afternoon's action. Immaculata came in dropping two games in the Snowbird Classic, just as Bluefield had.
IU jumped out to an early and commanding lead on the Lady Rams. MacDonald led the way with 2 RBI's in the game. Powell and Holcomb also batted in runners when the Lady Rams put together a respectable late rally in the contest. The four-run outburst by Bluefield would not be enough as IU's lead was too much for BC to handle.
Bluefield will continue play in South Carolina on Wednesday with another pair of games. The first game will be against Swarthmore College.
