Lake Sumter, Florida- The men's baseball team bounced back after a tough loss on Sunday with a dominating performance on Monday afternoon as the Rams beat Hannibal-LaGrange (Mo.) 9-0 and 6-5.
In Game One, P Joey Andrews got the complete game shutout win for the Rams on the mound. It is the first complete game win of the season for any pitcher this season.
Andrews definitely got help on the offensive end from his teammates. Zac Russell-Myers went 3 for 4 while Trevor Martin went 1 for 4 with a HR.
Dickerson also had a nice afternoon going 3 for 4 from the plate knocking in 2 RBI's.
In Game Two, Dickerson would be the hero once again. Down 5-3 entering the final inning (7th) in the second game of the doubleheader, the Rams rallied to score three runs in the 7th to earn the win with help from Dickerson.
Bluefield got their first 'clean sweep' of a team this year, even though the Rams only played two against Hannibal-LaGrange. Myers and Simpson both went for multi-hit performances for the second straight game.
Martin also went 2 for 3 with another HR to go along with his other long bomb in Game One of the d-header.
Dickerson was the highlight reel once again, as the Santa Clara, California native went 1 for 2 with punching in the game-winning RBI.
Kyle Long picked up the win in relief for the Rams on the mound.
Bluefield will face Evangel College on Wednesday in a single-game of 9 innings at Chanes of Lake Park.
