Rams streak snapped at ranked Bethel

McKENZIE, Tenn. -- Bluefield (6-1, 2-0 MSC) fall for the first time on the season to the 22nd-ranked Wildcats of Bethel (Tenn.), 73-60, snapping a modern era best 6-0 start by the Rams.
The Rams were led by defending NCCAA and MSC Player of the Week Teqa McNeal who scored a game-high 21 points and a career and game-high 13 rebounds. Ashley White provided 10 points while Janee Simmons added nine points and eight rebounds in the loss.
Bethel (8-1) had four starters in double-figures led by Alisha Gentry who netted 20 points.
The Rams return to action on Sunday when they travel to High Point, N.C. for an exhibition against NCAA DI High Point.
