Bluefield, Virginia- The men's soccer program will open its 2012 Spring season this week in Bluefield when they host three games over the next two weeks at the East River soccer complex.
The Rams will play an Academy team out of the Beckley, West Virginia area to begin their Spring season mid-week in preparation for their biggest match of April on the 14th.
Bluefield will host NCAA-Division 1 side, the Virginia Military Institute (VMI) Keydets on Saturday at the East River complex at 2pm EST.
The Rams will look to upend the Keydets, who are a part of the Big South Conference. VMI finished the 2012 season with an overall record of 1-15-2. This will be the final match of the Keydets spring season after matches against George Mason, VCU, W+L and Liberty.
Coach Dryer's side will follow-up their match against VMI with another spring match the next weekend against NCAA Division II side, Concord University. The familiar opponents met one time in the 2011 regular season where the Rams defeated Concord 2-0 on the road late in the season.
The Mountain Lions will come to Bluefield for a match against the Rams for BC's final contest of the spring season with the match starting at 2:00 pm on April 21 at East River.
The final match will conclude the Rams spring training program as players will depart for their summer holiday before returning for pre-season camp in the fall on August 8th.
