Rams Lose Opening Round of Bevo Francis Tournament
The Rams opened the Bevo Francis Classic Tournament with a loss in the games hosted by Rio Grande College in Rio Grande, Ohio.

Bluefield, VA—The Rams opened the Bevo Francis Classic Tournament with a loss in the games hosted by Rio Grande College in Rio Grande, Ohio.
The Rams lost the opening game against Cedarville 98-75, leading the team in scoring was Dmitry Zimin. Zimin the sophomore from Moscow, Russia scored 18 points for the rams and was perfect in three pointers scoring all four he attempted. He also led the team in steals with two; he was 7 for 9 in field goals in addition to his hot streak of three pointers.
Also, another double digit scorer for the Rams was Carlton Shumake who had 10 points for the Rams with three assists, 2 rebounds, and was 5 for 10 at the line for the Rams. Shumake was named to the Appalachian Athletic Conference All- Freshman team; Shumake is a sophomore from Louisville, Kentucky.
Three members on the Rams team had eight points for the game versus Cedarville. Byron Carpenter who was 4 for 5 at the line and had two rebounds; Borgia M'bala who was 3 for 8 at the line and 2 for 6 in three pointers; and Rob Wright who was 3 for 14 at the line and a perfect 2 for 2 in free throws he also had 2 rebounds for the rams in the loss against Cedarville.
The Rams moved to the loser's bracket where they will play against Ohio Lancaster, in the third/fourth place tournament game.
