Rams Land in Third Place in AAC Preseason Polls

Bluefield, VA—The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) held its annual media day for basketball in Kingsport, Tennessee; where they announce preseason polls.
The Rams received a third place ranking with 47 points, Bryan College was favored to win the AAC Conference Title, they received 62 points. Tennessee Wesleyan was the only other school that beat out the Rams, they received a second place standing with 55 points.
Following the Rams were Milligan with 35 points, Union College with 29, Reinhardt finished sixth with 24 points. Rounding out the list was Virginia Intermont with 18 and Montreat with 17 points. Bryan, Union, Uva-Wise and Bluefield all won a share of the regular-season championship last year.
The Rams will play at home in a scrimmage on October 16 at 4:00 pm versus Hiwassee College and will open regular season play on November 4 versus Barber Scotia College at 7:00 pm in the Dome Gymnasium.
