BLUEFIELD — The Bluefield College women’s soccer team continued its assault on the record books, defeating West Liberty 3-1 on Saturday morning at East River Soccer Complex.
Jessica Dutka scored twice for the Rams, while Braley Freire added a goal and an assist. Jessica Newman also distributed two assists. Kayla Richardson had four saves in goal for Bluefield.
It was Bluefield’s ninth win this season, which is a school record.
Bluefield, which slated to open Mid-South Conference tournament against Campbellsville on Nov. 3, has been led by Pip Pattison, whose 15 goals ranked 23th in NAIA, while Callan Camin’s 10 assists is 12th in the nation.
Enajah Winbush has seven goals for the Rams, who have scored 103 points this season, including 40 goals and 23 assists. Newcomers Camin, Winbush, Dutka, Newman and Kori Koerwitz have combined to score 19 goals and 16 assists this fall.
The Rams have gone 3-1-0 in four games against teams that beat them a year ago.
