Rams Get Critical Win Against Virginia Intermont
This win puts BC (8-11) in fourth place thus far in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) behind Bryan, Milligan, and Union.

Bluefield, VA-- The Bluefield College Men's Basketball team got a critical win against in the conference game against Virginia Intermont, beating the Cobras 63-55 on Wednesday evening.
Melvin Henderson scored 11 points in the win against the Virginia Intermont Cobras.
This win puts BC (8-11) in fourth place thus far in the Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) behind Bryan, Milligan, and Union. Leading the Rams scoring charge was Egor Shakhmetov, the 6'6" Russian transfer student had 15 points and was a perfect six-for-six inside the key. The center also was 3-4 in free throws, with eight rebounds and two steals for the Rams.
Melvin Henderson, a freshman point guard from Roanoke, Virginia added on 11 points against VI. Henderson was 3-8 inside, 3-6 in three pointers, and was perfect in free throws with two.
Also contributing to the Rams effort was Byron Carpenter who netted 10 points for the Rams he had three rebounds and two assists in the win. Also scoring for the Rams was Dmitry Zimin who had 9 points, Ed Folden who netted six points, Brian Daniels and Borgia M'Bala each contributed five points a piece for the Rams, and Jewaun Wynn added in two points.
The Rams shot nearly 66% of their free throws and nearly 45% of three pointers in the win against the Cobras.
The Rams will take back to the court on Saturday against Bryan College, tip- off is scheduled for 4:00 pm in the BC Dome.
