Rams fall to Virginia University of Lynchburg

BLUEFIELD, Va. — Despite 25 points by Kearsten Marion and 24 points from Byron Carpenter, the Bluefield Rams dropped its season opener at the Dome Gymnasium.
Virginia University of Lynchburg (2-2) received 33 points from Christopher Calvan and 20 points and 10 boards by Egor Shakhmetov.
Carpenter also had 13 rebounds for Bluefield. Andrew Wilson added 11 points and four assists.
The other six players that saw action for the Rams combined for just 14 points.
Bluefield will host Bluefield State on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
