Rams Drop First Conference Game of the Season
The Bluefield College Rams basketball team dropped a close one against conference rival Reinhardt University, 74-67 in the dome on Wednesday.

Bluefield, VA—The Bluefield College Rams basketball team dropped a close one against conference rival Reinhardt University, 74-67 in the dome on Wednesday.
The Rams (0-1: 5-10) who were coming off of a hard fought win against local rival
Melvin Henderson a freshman on the BC basketball team had 11 points against Reinhardt.
Bluefield State College on Monday was only down by two points (27-25) to begin the second half led by senior Rob Wright.
Wright, a forward and guard for the Rams scored 24 points in the loss to Reinhardt and was a perfect 11-of-11 in free throws. Wright also was 6-of-10 at the line and had eight rebounds and two assists for the team.
Following Wright in scoring was freshman point guard Melvin Henderson who averaged 11 points for the Rams. Henderson was also perfect in three pointers with two and was 3-4 in both field and free throws.
Borgia M'bala, junior guard, was 4-of-6 with three rebounds had nine points for the Rams. While Byron Carpenter had seven points in the game and was 5-of-8 in free throws.
The Rams will hit the hard wood again on January 8, against conference rival Milligan College tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 pm, in Johnson City, Tennessee. The Rams will return home on January 12 to play conference opponent Union College 7:30 pm is the scheduled tip-off.
