Martinsville, Virginia- The Lady Rams dropped a doubleheader on Thursday afternoon 7-1, 8-0 against Patrick Henry Community College on the road.
Bluefield managed to get batters on base, but struggled to get runs on the board.
In Game 1, Kasey Holcomb went 2-4 followed by Ashley Alley who went 2-3. Meismer also got a hit in the first frame. Heather Thomas got the lone RBI in the game for BC.
In the final game of the doubleheader, Ashley Alley had a great game offsensively for Bluefield. Alley went 3 for 3 giving her a total of five hits between the two games. Kourtney McGrady also contributed two hits on the afternoon's second game.
Seizmore was docked with the loss in Game 1, while Meismer dropped Game 2 for Bluefield.
Bluefield will travel to South Carolina for the Winterbird Classic for a Spring Break tournament where they will play eight games in four days of action. All game times are available on the Lady Rams schedule.
Opening conference games previously scheduled against Columbia (SC) have been rescheduled for April 21 due to inclement weather conditions.
