Men’s Soccer signs Brazilian transfer from Coffeyville CC By Sports Information Department BC | April 18, 2011 | RSS Bluefield College Athletics Official Release Sports Information Office Bluefield, Virginia Men’s Soccer signs Brazilian transfer from Coffeyville CC The Bluefield College Rams Men’s Soccer program officially announces the signing of Coffeyville Community College transfer, Pedro Frazillio, to the 2011 fall roster. The 6’5” Brazilian target striker will be an unbelievable pick-up for the men’s soccer program. Last season for the CCC Ravens, Frazillo scored goals against two nationally-ranked programs in games against Northern Oklahoma and Cloud County, and had a multiple goal game against Allen County. Frazillo was also one of the team leaders in assists as well. “Pedro will bring a big physical presence to Bluefield,” said Feerer, Pedro’s former head coach. “He’s a forward with really good foot skills for a big man. Pedro likes the ball at his feet where he can try to beat players on the floor and he will bring those technical qualities to the Bluefield program.” After one season at the realm of the Men’s Soccer program, Coach Pete Dryer begins to make a dent in the recruiting process in the AAC, and will continue to build from his 2011 recruits as the Rams make the jump in 2012 to one of the toughest NAIA soccer conferences in the nation, the Mid-South Conference. A step in the right direction, Dryer is delighted to sign a quality player in Frazillio, who has shown his ability to compete on the collegiate level already. “Pedro will have an immediate impact for us this coming year. He is extremely talented, he knows how to find the back of the net, and he brings a big physical presence for us up top. I have enjoyed getting to know Pedro over the last few months through the recruiting process, and he fits in very well with the mission of the school and the core values of our soccer program. ” Pedro will join a load of young players on the Rams roster, but also a competitive training environment for his teammates. One of his favorite players is Kaka from the Brazilian National team and Real Madrid, for his abilities as a player, but also for his Christian testimony and high character. The Rams can only hope his skills remotely match those of Kaka when he arrives on campus in early August. Stay tuned for more signings in Men’s Soccer.
