Men’s Soccer inks Alleghany High Forward

The Bluefield College Rams Men’s Soccer program officially announce the signing of Alleghany High School soccer standout, Dillon Bess, to the 2011 Fall roster.

Bess is a three-year letter winner at Alleghany where he earned Honorable Mention in the Blue Ride District, and help lead his team to a Blue Ridge District Championship.

An active member in several organizations including Beta Club, Key Club and the local church ministry, Dillon brings a humble and hard work ethic on and off the field.

The crafty forward also plays his club soccer for one of the top regional teams in Virginia with the Roanoke Stars, where he has been playing for the past two seasons.

Bess brings versatility to 2011 Rams squad

The Men’s Soccer program is continuing to sign quality players for its upcoming season, several players who have distinctive characteristics to fit the style and speed of play expected at Bluefield College.

Head Coach, Pete Dryer, saw these qualities immediately and made the appropriate moves to get Bess on board. “We are excited to have Dillon join the Rams’ soccer program in the fall.  He is a very smart and technical player, and he can score goals.  He is talented in many ways, both on and off the field, and is a young man of very high character.”

Bess will join several other talented forwards on the Rams’ roster in 2011 to inevitably boost the quality in the first team and inevitably the starting 11.
